Protego SIMETICON MAX reduces the surface tension of gas bubbles in the intestines, making it easier for them to burst and then be expelled. Symethicone exhibits a surface action and does not enter into any chemical reactions. It is a pharmacologically and physiologically inert substance.

The medical device Protego SIMETICON MAX contains 240 mg of simethicone in a soft gelatin capsule.
The components of the casing are pork gelatin, glycerol.
The medical device does not contain sugar or dyes.
Protego SIMETICON MAX is intended for use as an auxiliary to prepare patients for diagnostic abdominal examinations (ultrasonography, endoscopy, radiography and colonoscopy) to remove gases and air from the gastrointestinal tract, thereby improving the quality of the images obtained.
Protego SIMETICON MAX capsules are taken orally, before or after a meal, with an adequate amount of liquid (e.g. 1 glass of water). It is not recommended to drink carbonated beverages while taking the product.
Symptoms related to tension and pressure in the intestines:
Adults: ad hoc, 1 capsule, 2-4 times a day. A maximum of 4 capsules per day (960 mg of simethicone).
Pregnant women: dosage and use as prescribed by a doctor or pharmacist.
In people with diabetes, no change in dosage is required.
Children from 12 to 18 years of age: ad hoc, 1 capsule per day.
Preparation for diagnostic tests:
Adults: 1 capsule in the evening on the day before the diagnostic test and 1 capsule in the morning, on an empty stomach, on the day of the diagnostic test.
Pregnant women: dosage and use as recommended by a doctor or pharmacist.
In diabetics, no change in dosage is required.
Children 12 to 18 years of age: 1 capsule in the evening on the day before the diagnostic test and 1 capsule in the morning, fasting, on the day of the diagnostic test
Warning:
Do not take more than 4 capsules per day in adults and 1 capsule per day in children over 12 years of age.
Symethicone may reduce the bioavailability of concurrently taken medications. If it is necessary to use the device with other medications at the same time, there should be a break of at least one hour between taking Protego SIMETICON MAX medical device and other preparations. If in doubt, consult
Store in original packaging at 15-25ºC. Keep out of reach and sight of children.
Do not use the product after the expiration date on the blister and outer packaging.
