Protego Sodium Butyrate 300 is a food for special medical purposes in the form of capsules containing 300 mg of sodium butyrate including 240 mg of butyric acid.

One capsule contains 300 mg of sodium butyrate including 240 mg of butyric acid.

The use of a specialized form of microgranules causes the butyric acid release process to take place along the entire length of the small and large intestine.

Butyric acid is the basic energy material for the gastrointestinal epithelium, therefore the product is recommended for dietary management:

with intestinal hypersensitivity (irritable bowel syndrome - IBS)
in intestinal microflora disorders
in diarrhea after antibiotic therapy
in intestinal infections and inflammatory diseases of the gastric mucosa
in short-chain fatty acid deficiencies,
in patients after anticancer treatment (including intestinal inflammation after radiotherapy)

When is it recommended to use Protego Sodium Butyrate 300?

Digestive tract diseases are often chronic, therefore, in addition to proper treatment, appropriate dietary management is also important, which can meet the specific nutritional needs resulting from the disease or disorder. The combination of medical and dietary treatment may result in a synergistic effect in the form of better well-being and comfort of life for the patient.

The product is intended for dietary management:

with intestinal hypersensitivity (irritable bowel syndrome - IBS)
in intestinal microflora disorders
in diarrhea after antibiotic therapy
in intestinal infections and inflammatory diseases of the gastric mucosa

Recommended intake: Adults: 1 capsule twice a day, morning and evening. It is recommended to use for at least 3 months. Children over 7 years of age: 1 capsule once a day, preferably in the evening. It is recommended to use for at least 6 weeks. The capsule should be swallowed whole (without chewing or spilling the contents), drinking water. It is best to take with a meal.

Important information: The product is taken under medical supervision and is intended for adults and children over 7 years of age. The product cannot be used as the only source of food.

Warning: The product is not intended for parenteral use.

Contraindications: hypersensitivity (allergy) to any of the ingredients of the preparation. Do not use in children with swallowing disorders or when swallowing capsules is difficult.

Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
